Starting next week, the HBX team will be traveling to cities around the U.S. and Canada for the 2018 Forté Forums put on by the Forté Foundation, an organization that helps launch women into fulfilling, significant careers through access to business education, networking opportunities, and a community of successful peers.
The Forums bring together top business schools from the U.S. and Europe, and provides an opportunity for women considering an MBA to communicate with each other and with representatives from schools they may be considering for their MBA.
Together with admissions representatives from Harvard Business School, the HBX team will talk to prospective MBA students about how they can prepare for success in an MBA program by enrolling in HBS CORe.
How does CORe help prepare you for business school? Past HBX participants share their thoughts:
“I've been fortunate to apply what I learned in HBX both in the professional world and back in school. Going back to school, I have referred to my accounting and economics notes in my foundational accounting course and an advanced pricing class. HBX made me feel confident in pushing myself to take more challenging courses in these topics.”
— Carolina Regata, a former engineer who is currently a student at Stanford Graduate School of Business
“A year after finishing CORe, all three classes have been invaluable in my first two quarters in school. I am able to get more out of class because I already have the fundamentals.”
— Lauren Hall, part-time MBA student at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management
“The case study method of CORe helped me prepare for my MBA program. I have a bachelor's in communication and never had seen a case study before CORe. The way the material is presented really helped me understand the details of the cases covered and how to think through case studies as I analyze them in my MBA classes now.”
— Kali Pfaff, MBA student at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western University
