Why did you decide to sign up for Managing Your Career Development?
I will be finishing my undergraduate studies in May 2017. I was not sure what to expect in the real world. Gaining experience from HBX CORe, it was a great learning opportunity for me to get an insight into the day to day life of a working professional. The HBX Live was another incentive for me to collaborate and discuss in real time with people from all around the world.
What was your favorite part of the program?
The case studies that we did on a regular basis. I loved how the little details that we focused on that seemed unimportant turned out to be the most valuable things for the protagonists in terms of shaping their careers. We learned that opportunities are always there, and we just need to capture them at the right time. These case studies taught me how to do that.
What did you like most about learning via HBX Live?
The personal interaction I had with the professor and other participants was the best part. It was informative, transformational, and rejuvenating!
How are you applying what you’ve learned in Managing Your Career Development?
Since I’m still a student, I haven't yet applied the skills I have learned, but I know I will in the near future!
Any advice for people who will be taking Managing Your Career Development?
Look for little points on the case studies that are presented. Write them down. There are no right or wrong answers, just different perspectives on a problem. The more you understand the material, the more you will get out of it.
